The ominous, “skinny jean”. The patronising garment which typecasts how you should look in order to wear it. This is, without a doubt, the worst fashion fad I’ve ever had the discomfort to come across. So who do I have to thank for this near-death-suffocatingly-tight experience? Kate Moss.
Kate, the “Get the London look” lass who undoubtedly has looks to die for and a wardrobe to match. What a shame then, that she introduced us to such a garment all those years ago.
The rails of Topshop are adorned with this lady’s designs. Beautiful pretty prints, tailored to perfection… But the skinny jean is lurking. Now I realise that such a model as this is there to provoke discussion in the fashion world. Read the rest of this entry »
